Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Lucy Lee Noble Funeral services for Lucy Lee Noble of Elsberry, MO were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Gene Stewart of Annada, MO officiated with burial in the New Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Steven Coy, Ronnie Schambach, Harry Gene Ogden, Curtis Ogden, John Ray Noble and Rick Noble. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Owens and Kenny Masterson. Ms. Noble, 94, died Tuesday afternoon, September 19, 2006 at Elsberry Health Care Center near Elsberry. Born April 22, 1912 in Lincoln County, MO, she was the daughter of George Ernest and Anna Virginia Hawkins Ogden. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. She was united in marriage on December 19, 1932 in Elsberry, MO to James Edward "Ed" Noble. This union was blessed with two sons: John and James. She was employed for several years as a licensed practical nurse for Lincoln County Medical Center in Troy, MO, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anna Ogden; one brother, Walter Ogden; one sister, Rose Schambach; one step-son, Charles Noble; one step-daughter, Loretta Noble; and her beloved husband of 26 years, James Edward "Ed" Noble who passed away February 19, 1959. Survivors include two sons: John E. "Gene" Noble of Quincy, IL and James L. Noble of Brooksville, FL; two brothers: Harry Ogden and his wife, Gayle, of Elsberry and Ernest Ogden and his wife, Kathy, also of Elsberry; special niece whom she raised, Virginia Hale; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation, Lupos Foundation or American Heart Association, in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
