Obituary of Bonnie Lee Weeks

Funeral Services for Bonnie Lee Weeks of St. Peters, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at First Baptist Church in St. Charles, MO. Roger Reid and Dr. David Sheppard will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Mrs. Weeks, 89, passed away Tuesday morning, November 17, 2020 at her home. Born September 15, 1931 in Foley, MO, she was the daughter of Thomas Henry and Jessie Lee (nee Taylor) Stone. Bonnie was a 1949 graduate of Elsberry High School. She was united in marriage on January 27, 1951 in St. Louis to John Richard “Dick” Weeks. This union was blessed with four children. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, Grammy and homemaker. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in St. Charles, always returning after short absences due to her husband’s transfers to other cities. She always considered FBC St. Charles her home church and enjoyed working in children’s departments and in missions. Bonnie’s greatest hope and desire for her children and grandchildren was that they know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and live for Him. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Henry and Jessie Stone; three brothers: Guy, John Thomas “J.T.” and Brewis Stone; and her beloved husband of 61 years, John Weeks, who died on June 3, 2012. Bonnie is survived by her children, Richard Weeks (Amy), of Atlanta, GA, Cathy Morris (Bob), of Raymore, MO, Elizabeth Reid (Roger), of Dupo, IL, Scott Weeks (Nym), of Bangkok, Thailand, and daughter-in-law Marilee Weeks, of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Bonnie also leaves a sister-in-law, Cathy Moran (Harold), of St. Louis, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at First Baptist Church in St. Charles.
