Obituary of Maggie Kristine Miller

A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Maggie Kristine Miller, has gone home to our Heavenly Father, at the age of 15, on November 11, 2020. Born in St. Louis on December 3, 2004 to Wade and Megan (Hudnall) Miller, Maggie grew up in Troy, where she attended First Baptist Christian Academy Elementary School, Troy Middle School, and later Troy Buchanan High School. Maggie was an athlete of unmatched portions. Her love of any competition made her a fierce competitor in soccer, track, and basketball but more importantly she was a kind and compassionate teammate. She was funny, outgoing, a skillful artist, a Lego architect, animal lover and best friend to everyone she met. Maggie enjoyed Sunday church with her grandmother and always looked forward to her Sunday morning treat of Mike & Ike’s, Diet Mountain Dew and a big hug from Mona Turner. She had also become active in the Elsberry UMC/FCC Youth Group. A Child of God, Maggie was a symbol of power, beauty and grace. She was loved dearly by her friends, family and pets. We will always remember her infectious smile, sparkling blue eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. Through Maggie’s passing, her spirit lives as she was an organ donor. Maggie’s love for life and belief in God’s miracles left a legacy for others to cherish. When you think of Maggie, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short, and should be lived to the fullest. Maggie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gary Hudnall and precious aunt, Amy (Hudnall) Silotto. She leaves behind her parents, Megan and Wade Miller; brother, Grant and sister, Claire; grandparents: Kenny and Ann Miller of Fulton and Diane (Tapley) Hudnall of Troy. She also leaves behind aunt, Amanda (Bradley) Todd, aunt Jacki Hudnall, cousins: Alissa, Addison, Reed, Amy Grace and Eva. Many other loved ones and special friends. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Carter Ricks Funeral Homes in Elsberry, Missouri . The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2020 at Carter Ricks Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Feed ‘Em, Teach ‘Em, Love ‘Em at Elsberry United Methodist Church.
