Obituary of Bob Ray Brewer

Mr. Bob Ray Brewer, 82, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at his home near Winfield, MO. Born August 21, 1938 in Humphrey, AR, he was the son of Thurman and Fay Johnson Brewer. Bob served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage on August 27, 1960 in St. Louis, MO to Phyllis Ann Krueger. Bob worked as a Deputy Chief for the City of St. Louis Fire Department, retiring on August 11, 1991 after 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Fay Brewer; his son-in-law, David Houghton; and an infant son. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Phyllis Brewer of Winfield; one son, Robert G. Brewer and his wife, Jill, of Foley, MO; one daughter, Jill L. Houghton of Florissant, MO; and two grandchildren: Sean Hussey and Kathryn Dietrich and her husband, Jared. Bob also leaves two brothers: Mac Brewer of Sheridan, AR and Tom Brewer and his wife, Mary Lou, of Butte, MT; two sisters: Etta Mae Lassiter and her husband, Boyd, of Sheridan, AR and Margy Jo Paulk and her husband, Clyde, of Sheridan, AR; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
