Obituary of Bonnie Carol Palmer

Funeral Services for Bonnie Carol Palmer of Old Monroe, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield. Deacon Rich Vehige officiated with burial in Highland Prairie Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Palmer, David Berneking, Paul Rogliardi, Boden Palmer, Kell Berneking and Palmer Berneking. Mrs. Palmer, 76, passed away Friday afternoon, October 16, 2020 at her home near Old Monroe. Born December 31, 1943 in Macon, MO, she was the daughter of Don and Dorothy VanSkyke Bryant. Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Troy Buchanan High School. After completing cosmetology school, she worked for Mary Jane Cideal. As a young girl, Bonnie saw Rich on the playground and just knew she was going to marry him someday. Bonnie was united in marriage on April 23, 1965 in Troy, MO to William Richardson “Rich” Palmer. This union was blessed with three children, Greg, Paula and Lynn. Bonnie was an Avon Representative for 20 years. She worked on the family farm for many years, serving as the bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Dorothy Bryant; one sister, Donna Kay Simpson; and one niece, Abby Bryant. Survivors include her beloved husband of 55 years, Rich Palmer of Old Monroe; their son: Greg Palmer and his wife, Michelle, of Old Monroe; two daughters: Paula Berneking and her husband, David, of Old Monroe, and Lynn Rogliardi and her husband, Paul, of Moscow Mills; and eight grandchildren: Lainey, Boden, Palmer, Kell, Bret, Allison, Avery and Brett. Bonnie also leaves one brother, Larry Bryant of Columbia, MO; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.
