Obituary of James Joseph Westhoff

Memorial Services for James Joseph “Jim” Westhoff of St. Paul, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Joy Community Church; 925 Highway K; O’Fallon, MO 63366. Pastor Dave Rispoli will officiate. Mr. Westhoff, 67, passed away Monday afternoon, September 21, 2020 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO. Born February 14, 1953 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Walter Victor and Alice Burkemper Westhoff. Jim was a 1971 graduate of Fort Zumwalt High School. He was united in marriage on January 27, 1973 in St. Paul to Therese Salome Heppermann. This union was blessed with one daughter, Gwen. Jim worked as a laborer and operator, retiring in 2015. He was a member of Laborers Local #660 in St. Charles and International Union of Operating Engineers Local #513 in Silex, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Westhoff; one sister, Nancy Mueller; and his granddaughter, Ariel Rose White. Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Therese Westhoff of St. Paul; their daughter, Gwen White of St. Paul; and three grandchildren: Cadence, Huntley and Remington. Jim also leaves one brother, Timothy Westhoff and his wife, Theresa, of O’Fallon, MO; one sister, Marilyn Sitton and her husband, Oliver, of Rolla, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
