Obituary of Paul George Meyer

Funeral Services for Paul George Meyer of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at God’s House of Ministry in Elsberry, MO. Allen Lockard, church pastor, will officiate. Mr. Meyer, 65, passed away Sunday evening, August 2, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Lincoln in Troy, MO. Born February 27, 1955 in Calhoun, IL, he was the son of Edward George and Rose Catherine Zimmerman Meyer. He worked as a line worker at Toyota Bodine for several years, retiring in 2017. Paul then began working as the manager for the Elsberry Motel and Lodge in Elsberry. He was united in marriage on June 9, 2018 in Elsberry to Megan Marie Clark. This union was blessed with one daughter, Hannah. Paul was a member of God’s House of Ministry where he was in charge of their food distribution program. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rose Meyer; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his beloved wife of two years, Megan Meyer of Elsberry; six children: Hanna Meyer of Elsberry, Quentin Hilding of Missouri, Tony Chrum and his girlfriend, Whitney McNeil, of Troy, MO, Krysten Lovatto and her husband, Charles, of Wood River, IL and Samantha Stumps and her husband, Jeremy, of Wood River, and Shaun Meyer of Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Paul also leaves his mother-in-law, Leatha Clark of Elsberry; two brothers-in-law, Shannon Clark of Winfield, MO, Shane Clark of St. Charles, MO and Cody Clark of Missouri; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
