Obituary of DonnaLee Martin

DonnaLee Martin passed on peacefully, July 28th 2020. She was born DonnaLee Lewis on November 9th, 1936 in St. Louis City, Missouri, the daughter and only child of Curtis Leland Lewis and Edna Anna Weston. In 1949 she and her parents moved to Winfield where she graduated in 1954 from Buchanan High School in Troy. In July of 1954 she was married to Murkes Martin Jr., whom preceded her in death in 1973. She is survived by her daughter Linda (Tom) Saunders of Foley, two sons, Ernest S. Martin of Jacksonville, Florida and Kenneth (Grace) Martin of Hawk Point, seven grandchildren; Samuel Saunders of Winfield, Kaylee (Andrew) Berry of Winfield, Amber (Chris) Califonte of Lee Summit, Missouri, Jeremy (Jami) Martin, of Troy, Nickia (Michael Sr.) Baker, and Jacob (Ashley) Martin all of Hawk Point, and Desiree (Brandon) Kurtz of Warrenton, Missouri as well as 22 great-grand children and one great-great grandchild. She was always devoted to raising her children and taking care of her home. Donna loved to read, playing games with her family, watching her favorite shows on t.v., and listening to music. She also had the gift of hospitality and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Funeral services to be held at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield followed by interment at New Galilee Christian Church Cemetery in Winfield.
