Obituary of Mark Anthony Norton

Graveside Services for Mark Anthony Norton of Troy, MO will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Millwood, MO. Serving as pallbearers will be Skyler McGarry, Michael Moll, Luke Norton, Josh Adams, Jamie Zumwalt and Tyrone Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be McKennan Starkey and Aaron Grumich. Mr. Norton, 58, passed away Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020 near Wright City, MO. Born August 16, 1961in Troy, MO, he was the son of Orval Paul “Rip” and Nellie June Reed Norton. Mark owned and operated Norton's Trailer Court in Elsberry and Highway 79 Roofing. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Orval “Rip” Norton and June Norton; and two brothers: Mike Norton and David Norton. Survivors include one son, Mark Andrew “Drew” Norton of Bowling Green, MO; three daughters with Julie Marie Hagemeier: Maggie Mae Norton of Elsberry, Marcie Nicole Norton and her fiance, Aaron Grumich, and Michele Lee Norton and his future son-in-law, McKennan Starkey, all of Troy, MO; and two grandchildren. Mark also leaves one brother, Randolph Scott, “Randy” Norton of St. Genevieve, MO; one sister, Sandra Jean “Sandy” Jerome and her husband, Bill, of Tavernier, FL; several nieces and nephews, including Edison and Ady Bay Norton who they helped raised; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. **Social distancing and face masks are requested.** Memorials may be made to the Family of Mark Norton in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
