Obituary of David Allen Browne

Graveside Services for David Allen Browne of Foley, MO will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate. Mr. Browne, 76, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2020 at Lincoln County Nursing and Rehab in Troy, MO. Born May 13, 1944 in St. Louis, he was the son of Patrick Joseph and Martha Elizabeth Allen Browne. David was a 1962 graduate of DeAndreis Parish High School. He served his country in the United States Army from February 11, 1966 until he was honorably discharged on January 16, 1968. David was united in marriage on March 27, 1981 in St. Louis to Elsie Viola Skaggs. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Cott Beverages, retiring in 2006. David was a member of Teamsters Local #688 in St. Louis. David was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Martha Browne; and one brother, Robert Browne. Survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years, Elsie Browne of Foley; and one sister, Patricia Geisz and her husband, Robert, of Jonesburg, MO. David also leaves his nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
