Obituary of Karen Gail Barber

**Social distancing and face masks are requested by the family.** Funeral Services for Karen Gail Barber of Troy, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Bro. Stan Henderson, pastor of the Cowboy Church of Bowling Green, MO, will officiate. Mrs. Barber, 68, passed away late Tuesday night, June 23, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO. Born July 21, 1951 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Paul and Virginia Ebert Ewald. Karen was united in marriage on December 10, 1988 in Troy, MO to Norman Daryl Barber. She was employed for many years as a clerk and Assistant Manager at Orscheln Farm & Home in Troy, retiring in 2006. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Virginia Ewald. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Daryl Barber of Elsberry; two daughters: Jennifer Clancy of Troy, and Nicole Barber and her husband, Eric Barber, of Elsberry; one step-son, Brandon Barber and his wife, Kari, of Elsberry; and nine grandchildren: Kaitlynn Clancy, Kylie Clancy, Dillon Barber, Dalton Barber, Hannah Barber, Macy Barber, Ella Barber, Taylor Barber and Kennedi Barber. Karen also leaves one brother, Steven Ewald of St. Louis; one sister, Kelley Oris of Florissant, MO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. **Social distancing and face masks are requested by the family.** Memorials may be made to COPD Foundation.org in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
