Obituary of Darrell Wayne Davis

Graveside Services for Darrell Wayne Davis of Clarksville, MO will be held at 1:15 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. J. Larry Carter of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home will officiate. Mr. Davis, 65, passed away Friday afternoon, May 15, 2020 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Born May 21, 1954 in Troy, MO, he was the son of William Elmer “Mose” and Stella Frances Grace Davis. In his early years, Darrell loved to race stock cars on the weekend at the local track in California. He served in the United States Navy from July 6, 1972 until his honorable discharge on February 13, 1973 as an E3. Darrell then worked as a mechanic throughout his life. He loved to work on, build and restore cars. Darrell could fix anything with a motor. He was a positive man and was making plans up until the end. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Mose Davis and Stella Davis; and his sister, Sarah Barnum. Survivors include his children: Tammy Lemmon of Commerce City, CO, Kimberly Davis of Seattle, WA, and Johnathan Davis of Aurora, CO; and three grandchildren: Alayna and Savannah Lemmon and Kasriell Fluker. Darrell also leaves two brothers: Dale Davis of Clarksville and John Davis of Indianapolis, IN; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
