Obituary of Ginger Carol Franke

Ginger Carol Franke Funeral services for Ginger Carol Franke of Winfield, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of O'Fallon in O'Fallon, MO. Rev. Gary Taylor and Rev. Lee Sanders, church pastors, officiated with burial in St. Charles Memorial Gardens in St. Charles, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Franke, Tim McElroy, Denny Beckemeier, Christopher Lawrence, Marc Lawrence and Michael Franke. Mrs. Franke, 69, died late Saturday evening, August 19, 2006 at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis County, MO. Born February 22, 1937 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of George Frederick and Freda Anna Caroline Beckemeier Stillman. Raised in St. Charles, MO, she was a 1954 graduate of St. Charles High School. She was united in marriage on June 26, 1954 in St. Charles to Eugene Henry Franke. This union was blessed with four children: Rochelle, Saundra, Brian and Valerie. The family owned and operated the Franke Dairy farm near Winfield. Mrs. Franke enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of O'Fallon in O'Fallon. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Freda Stillman; and her beloved husband of 44 years, Eugene Henry Franke, who died February 11, 1999. Survivors include one son, Brian Franke and his wife, Sheryl, of Lee's Summit, MO; three daughters: Rochelle McElroy and her husband, Tim, of Winfield, Saundra Beckemeier and her husband, Denny, of Olathe, KS, and Valerie Franke of Winfield; seven grandchildren: Christopher Lawrence and his wife, Kristy Dougherty, Marc Lawrence and his wife, Joanna, and Brittney Lawrence, Ashlee and Lynsey Beckemeier, and Michael and Morgan Franke; and one great-grandchild, Ariana Lawrence. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Paul Franke and his wife, Barbara; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
