Whenever I would give Rick grief about not taking his medical conditions seriously, he would call me Nurse Ratchet. Then it became he called me Nurse Ratchet ALL the time! Nurse Ratchet will miss you, you old poop.

1983 was when I met Rick. He was the 1st Paramedic I ever drove for and would call "partner." Rick had a great sense of humor and I spent many evenings with Cathy and Rick, from just sitting around to New Years Eve. I know how close he and Cathy are. Time separates us all and my heart goes out to the family. Cathy, please know that you are in my thoughts. John Huffman.
