Obituary of Darlene Childers

Visitation for Darlene Childers of Silex, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO, will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Mrs. Childers, 88, passed away Thursday night, March 5, 2020 at Silex Community Care in Silex. Born February 24, 1932 in Portageville, MO, she was the daughter of Claude Anglin and Gladys Anglin. She was united in marriage to Edgar Clinton Childers. This union was blessed with five children: Dorothy, Debbie, Charlotta, Judith and Kevin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude Anglin and Gladys Anglin; two daughters: Charlotta Goodin and Judith Childers; one son, Kevin Childers, Sr.; and her beloved husband, Edgar Childers. Survivors include two daughters: Dorothy Beamer of Winfield, MO and Debbie Moore of Belleville, IL; one special grandson, Joshua Lilley of Eolia; several other grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
