Josh Jordan's tribute speaks to our hearts here in Jordan, Arkansas, a little corner of Ozarks named for Dale's family.
He and his family are life long friends and neighbors whom we have loved for generations. We are so sad for this
loss, but so thankful for the life and contributions of this fine man. He was the best! He made our world a better,
happier place.

This man is one of the great ones. He taught me more about life than he will ever realize. He taught me to be a hard worker, financially smart, and how to be a good person. He could always be seen greeting people at Fastlane while getting the coffee that he shouldn’t have been drinking anyways. Lol. He would hold open doors and make sure you didn’t need a hand with whatever you were buying.
This man didn’t want to be one of the “old” guys sitting at the restaurant sipping on their coffee complaining about everything that they weren’t going to change. He always wanted to do what needed to be done to make the changes.
This man would always say “Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” Hearing these words as a child didn’t mean that much to me. But hearing them now makes me realize he was describing himself, but he would never admit that. Those words are probably the most important thing that he’s ever taught me.
-Don’t go out wasting your money all night long
-If you want something, get up and go get it
Even though I didn’t tell him, he is the man that I strive to be like. Nobody has a mean word to say about him. He goes out of his way to help out the next person. He loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids more than anything. Everything he did, the business he built, it was for his family. He always wanted the best for us. That’s why he taught me all of the life lessons that he did. He wanted me to be successful like him. I can never be like him, he was one of a kind. I love you Papa and will miss you terribly. Keep guiding me so that I can teach my children and grandchildren the lessons that you taught me.

Mr Dale was a gem of a gentleman. Always had a sincere hello and smile. Always asked how Justin was doing, gave me a heartfelt hug when he heard about my grandbaby passing awsy. I will always miss his sweet demeanor. Rest in Paradise, Mr. Dale and give my Trent a big hug from me!

I’ll never forget the time, years ago when I was working at the old convenience corner gas station, sitting in the big window next to the registers, talking to Paul Billings the town police officer at the time, & Dale had just left our store parking lot from getting his coffee. Then a tanker semi came barreling down the 47 hill & completely lost its brakes & ended up landing on the R/R tracks across the street. I thought for sure that it had taken out Dales truck with him in it. I was completely freaking out until Jeannie called & had Dale come back down to the station to physically SHOW me that he was alright.
I will dearly miss driving past the storage place on 47 & seeing Dale out there planting ALL of those beautiful & pretty flowers every year. He sure took pride in EVERYTHING that he did. RIP now Dale. Tell ole Harry Stonebraker up there that we all say hello & we will all see each other again someday!
