Obituary of Albert Richard Millikan

Funeral Services for Albert Richard Millikan of Winfield, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Richard Pillers, pastor of the Elsberry Assembly of God Church, will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Millikan, Billy Millikan, Steve Millikan, Michael Romanchuk, Mark House, Tony Keller, Danny Capps and Bronson Holland; and honorary pallbearers will be Robert Millikan, Tommy Stradford, Billy Stradford and Bill Millikan. Mr. Millikan, 64, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO. Born January 22, 1955 in Clayton, MO, he was the son of Murrel and Margie Milligan Millikan. Albert was united in marriage on July 3, 1982 in St. Louis, MO to Lorna Marie Schneider. This union was blessed with three children: Robert, Larry and Kelli. Albert loved watching kids play sports, coaching Khourey League and American Legion baseball teams, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play. He enjoyed working on cars and race cars; and listening to music on KSHE. Albert worked as a mechanic for Wentzville Tire and Auto, retiring in 2011. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Murrel and Margie Millikan; his mother-in-law, Cecelia Geekie; and one sister, Grace Stradford. Survivors include his beloved wife of 37 years, Lorna Millikan of Winfield; and their children: Robert Millikan and his fiancé, Meagan Davis, of Maryland Heights, MO, Larry Millikan of Louisville, KY and Kelli Millikan of Troy, MO. Albert also leaves one brother, Bill Millikan of St. Ann, MO; one sister, Artie Millikan of Elsberry; his niece and nephews: Becki Capps and her husband, Danny, of Elsberry, Steve Millikan and his wife, Jamie, of Elsberry, William Millikan and his wife, Heather, of St. Ann, Billy Stradford of Elsberry, and Tommy Stradford of Troutdale, OR; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
