Obituary of Mark William Talbot

Funeral Services for Mark William Talbot of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Corey Trevino will officiate with burial in the Elsberry City Cemetery near Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Talbot, Sammy Pickard, Joey Ogden, Trevor Talbot, Kevin Dotson, Scott Kroeger and Elijah Talbot. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rob Murphy and Monte Logan. Mr. Talbot, 58, passed away late Sunday morning, January 12, 2020 at his home near Elsberry. Born October 31, 1961 in St. Charles, MO, he was the son of Charles William “Chuck” and JoAnne Whiteside Talbot. Mark was united in marriage on April 13, 1996 in Elsberry to Cynthia Marie “Cindy” Talbot. This union was blessed with five children: Zach, Zeke, Christina, Amanda Jo and Mark Adam. Mark worked as an Ironworker for Butler International for many years. He enjoyed farming, especially cattle ranching. Mark also owned CarrMark Construction in West Plains, MO. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and JoAnne Talbot; his father-in-law, Chester A. Koch; brother-in-law, Harry Gene Ogden; his niece, Lindsay Ogden-Whyte; and his nephew, Luke Talbot. Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 24 years, Cindy Talbot of Elsberry; their children: Zach Talbot and his wife, Jill, of Knox City, MO, Zeke Talbot and his wife, Jessie, of Peace Valley, MO, Christina Green and her husband, Ty, of Caulfield, MO, Amanda Jo Schreiber and her husband, Andy, of Columbia, MO and Mark Adam Talbot of Elsberry; and seven grandchildren: Lexi Talbot, Elijah Talbot, Sophie Talbot, Carrleigh Jo Green, Jaiden Talbot, Quincy Green and Jace Green. Mark also leaves his siblings: Mike Talbot and his wife, Peggy, Joe Talbot and his wife, Carla, John Talbot and his wife, Angela, Kathy Ogden, Christy Dotson and her companion, Carroll “Razz” Raspberry, and Jenny Kroeger and her husband, Mark, all of Elsberry; his brothers-in-law: Chester Koch and his wife, Margie, and Craig Koch and his wife, Linda, all of Elsberry; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Koch of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to the Elsberry FFA, American Cancer Society, (or) Heartland Hospice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
