Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Charles Raymond Miller Memorial services for Charles Raymond Miller of Wooldridge, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2006. Gene Spies of Elsberry will officiate at the memorial service at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Mr. Miller, 68, died early Saturday morning, August 12, 2006 at the home of his step-daughter in Wooldridge, MO. Born September 25, 1937 in Golden Eagle, IL, he was the son of Theodore and Mary Charlene Wilson Miller. He served his country during peacetime in the U.S. Army from October 20, 1960 until being honorably discharged October 9, 1962. He worked for 30 years as a machine operator and supervisor at Continental Can Company in St. Louis, MO retiring in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Mary Miller; and one brother, Robert Miller who died in 1995. Survivors include four step-daughters, whom he raised: Tamra Baker and her husband, Wade, of Montgomery City, MO, Bambi Bachtel and her husband, Danny, of Wooldridge, MO, Donna Holtkamp of St. Peters, MO, and Teresa Huskey and her husband, Travis, of St. Peters, MO; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Elmer Richard Miller of Elsberry; one sister, Mary Lou Miller of Elsberry; one sister-in-law, Myrtle Miller of Springfield, IL; several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
