Obituary of Tammie Sue Rice

Memorial Services for Tammie Sue Rice of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO.  Rev. Bob Norvel, pastor of Annada Christian Community Church in Annada, MO, will officiate.

Tammie, 58, passed away Sunday morning, November 3, 2019 at Lincoln County Nursing & Rehab in Troy, MO.  Born July 8, 1961 in Los Angeles, CA, she was the daughter of Gordon and Martha Corter Jewell.  Tammie was united in marriage on April 6, 1996 in Annada to Randy Rice.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all with an incredible sense of humor.  Tammie will be so missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Jewell and Martha Corter; one sister, Lou Ann LaBrun; and three brothers: Stanley M. Stanley, Eddie Black and Timothy Jewell.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Rice of Elsberry; four children: John R. Stanley and his companion, Eric Daly, of Chicago, IL, David Stanley of Poplar Bluff, MO, Lynn L. Stanley and her companion, Scott Humphries, of Troy and Jack Falwell of West Plains, MO; and eight grandchildren.  Tammie also leaves her “adoptive” parents, Bob and Donna Norvel of Eolia, MO; three brothers: Mark Lee of Florida, Michael Jewell of Springfield, MO and Ron Jewell of Mt. Home, AR; three sisters: Jackie Bennett of Tennessee, Linda Zajac of Menominee, MI and Cathy Hummel, also of Menominee; her close friends: Tony Peek of Winfield, Terri Welker of Winfield and Rhonda Roth of Elsberry; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Family of Tammie Rice to assist with final expenses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
