Obituary of Dale Edwin Hubert

Dale Edwin Hubert Graveside services for Dale Edwin Hubert of Elsberry, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2006 in the Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry. Rev. Rick Tucker of Fenton, MO will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Rombach, Ben Lewis, Dale Ruff, Kris Luther, Adam Haberkampf and Dewayne Brewer. Mr. Hubert, 64, died early Saturday morning, August 5, 2006 at his home in Elsberry. Born July 28, 1942 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Edwin Carl and Meta Sophie Warnecke Hubert. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army from August 18, 1966 until May 19, 1968. During his service in Vietnam he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the Bronze Star Medal. He was employed for many years as an auto mechanic at Dobbs Tire Service. He was united in marriage on December 20, 2002 in Troy, MO to Earline Jones Ray Ice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Meta Hubert; and two brothers, Bud Hubert and his wife, Birdie, and Carl Hubert. Survivors include his beloved wife, Earline J. Hubert of Elsberry; three daughters: Missy Luther and her husband, Kris, of Fenton, MO, Heather Hubert of Fenton, and Angie Hubert and her companion, Adam Haberkampf of Hillsboro, MO; one step-daughter, Helen Rombach and her husband, Randy of Elsberry; five grandchildren: Tabitha Seufert, Kayla Seufert, Bryce Luther, Kylie Haberkampf and Logan Hubert; three step-grandchildren: Dawn Lewis and her husband, Ben, Melinda Rombach, and Tiffani Rombach; and two step-great-grandchildren, Shane and Marissa Lewis. He also leaves one sister-in-law, Mary Lou (Mrs. Carl) Hubert of Moberly, MO; a special friend, Kay Rombach of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Cremation was held Wednesday, August 9, 2006. Memorials may be made to the Elsberry American Legion Post #226 or the American Cancer Society in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 South Fifth Street, Elsberry, MO 63343.
