Obituary of Timothy Michael Barber

Funeral Services for Timothy Michael Barber of Troy, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Troy.  Rev. Bill O'Neal, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield, MO.  Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Barber, Curtis Barber, Brent Barber, Daniel Heitman, Dwayne Heitman, Andy Heitman, Steve Burke and Jim Hulse.

Mr. Barber, 40, passed away Saturday morning, September 21, 2019 at Parklane Care Center in Wentzville, MO.  Born December 26, 1978 in Kirksville, MO he was the son of Robert Ervin and Joyce Evelyn Moots Barber.  Following high school, Tim attended Truman State University and later the police academy.  He served his country in the United States Army.  Tim was united in marriage on October 4, 2008 in Troy to Diana Marie Heitman.  Their home was blessed with two sons: Gabriel and Donald.  Tim was a sheriff’s deputy for the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.  He was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.  Tim served as a leader for Boy Scouts Troop #394 for many years.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Robert Barber; his father-in-law, Don Heitman; his grandparents; and his niece, Kelsey Barber.

Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 11 years, Diana Barber of Troy; their sons: Gabriel and Donnie Barber of Troy; his mother, Joyce Barber of Kirksville; his mother-in-law, Teresa Keeteman and her husband, Neal, of Old Monroe, MO; and his grandmother, Nina Clithero of Vandalia, MO.  Tim also leaves three brothers: Anthony “Tony” Barber and his wife, Rebecca, of New Haven, MO, Curtis “Curt” Barber and his wife, Laura, of Troy, and Brent Barber and his wife, Rita, of Old Monroe; numerous in-laws, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church.  Memorials may be made to the Family of Timothy Barber for final expenses in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47/PO Box 253; Winfield, MO 63389.  Online condolences may be made at www.carterricksfuneralhome.com.
