Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Kenneth Lee Awe Funeral services for Kenneth Lee Awe of Winfield, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Rev. Rick Koonce, pastor of the Mid America Baptist Church, will officiate with burial in Elsberry City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Greg Blankenship, Kevin Vetter and Jim Coleman. Mr. Awe, 58, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 in Texhoma, TX. Born February 8, 1948 in Lincoln, IL, he was the son of George Junior and Mary Alice Reichle Awe. He was employed for many years as an over the road truck driver for Forcum Trucking in Commerce, OK. He was preceded in death by his father, George Junior Awe; and one son, George Russell Awe, who died May 8, 1970. Survivors include his mother, Mary Briscoe and her husband, Donnie, of Winfield, MO; one son, Kenneth V. Awe, of Moose Lake, MI; one brother, Gregory L. Awe and his wife, Amy, of Fort Pierce, FL; three sisters: Linda K. Cramer of Linn, MO, Susan M. Johnson and her husband, Cortney, of Fort Pierce, FL, and Jodi A. Williams and her husband, John, of St. Peters, MO; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
