Obituary of Grace Agnes Jungermann

A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace Agnes Jungermann of St. Peters, MO, formerly of Moscow Mills, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church near Old Monroe, MO. Father Rich Rath, church pastor, will officiate with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery near Old Monroe. Serving as pallbearers will be Kaleb Schlesinger, Angie Jungermann, Elizabeth Gann, Kimberly Arnold, Eric Gentemann, Misty Toney, Scott Kelly, Jamie Ramsey, Rachel Orf, Craig Jungermann, Clara Jungermann, Ted Burkemper and Amanda Hemphill.
Grace Jungermann, 90, passed away Friday evening, June 14, 2019 at the Villages of St. Peters in St. Peters, MO. Born December 3, 1928, in Flint Hill, MO, she was the daughter of August “Gus” and Marie Bross Peine. She was a 1947 graduate of Wentzville High School. She was united in marriage on July 26, 1947 in Flint Hill to Robert Andrew Jungermann. This union was blessed with seven children: Ken, Mary Jo, Jean, Nancy, Shirley, Rob and Jim. Grace was a homemaker and worked as a Realtor for many years at Jungermann Realty, retiring in 1984. She was instrumental in helping to start an early childhood daycare center for special needs children. She was a member of the Pinochle Club of Old Monroe. Grace was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality and the I.C. Quilters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Marie Peine; two brothers: Carl Peine and August “Juni” Peine, Jr.; three sisters: Lucille Brune, Rita Beckman and Doris Molitor; one great-granddaughter, Lillian Marie Hemphill; and her beloved husband of 59 years, Bob Jungermann, who died March 20, 2006.
Survivors include three sons, Ken Jungermann and his wife, Janis, of Langley, OK, Rob Jungermann and his wife, Joann, of Moscow Mills, and Jim Jungermann of Troy, MO; four daughters: Mary Jo Gentemann and her husband, Richard, of O’Fallon, MO, Jean Burkemper and her husband, Donald, of Clarksville, MO, Nancy Schlesinger and her companion, Gary Mudd of Silex, MO, and Shirley Kelly and her husband, Karl, of Winfield; 13 grandchildren19 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild. She also leaves two brothers, Albert “Bud” Peine and his wife, Sharon, and Edward Peine and his wife, Connie, all of Troy; one sister-in-law, Marian Jungermann of Wentzville; her aunt, Agnes Sanders of St. Charles; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 until time of the Mass 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe.
