Obituary of Catherine Mary Gnade

A Memorial Mass for Catherine Mary Gnade of Old Monroe, MO will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe.  Fr. Richard Rath, church pastor, will officiate.  Inurnment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery will be at a later date.

           
Mrs. Gnade, 89, passed away Tuesday night, May 28, 2019 at The Boulevard Senior Living in St. Charles, MO.  Born February 12, 1930 in Old Monroe, she was the daughter of Frank and Leah Hemmer Dickherber.  Catherine attended Immaculate Conception School.  She was united in marriage on October 14, 1952 in Old Monroe to Edward Anthony Gnade.  This union was blessed with four children: Charlotte, Bruce, Barry and Jennifer.

           
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Leah Dickherber; two brothers: Melvin and Alphonse Dickherber; three sisters: Helen Freymuth, Bernadine Bauer and Madeline Beckering; and her beloved husband of 62 years, Edward Gnade, who died June  25, 2015.

           
Survivors include her children: Charlotte George and her husband, Steve, of St. Charles, MO, Bruce Gnade and his wife, Linda, of Dallas, TX, Barry Gnade and his wife, Linda, of St. Charles and Jennifer Lorch and her husband, Jason, of Paducah, KY.  Catherine also leaves ten grandchildren: Derek Gnade (Natalie), Paul George (Allie), Emily George Miklya (Jon), Melissa Gnade Brkic (Admir), Andy Gnade (Allison), Alex George (Tori), Michael George, and Madeline, Megan and Olivia Lorch; four great-grandchildren: Bennett, Caroline, Graham, Grace, and three more to join the family soon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
