Obituary of Richard A. Johnson

A Memorial Mass for Richard A. “Bo” Johnson of O’Fallon, MO will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon.  Father Mitch Doyen, church pastor, will officiate.  Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Johnson, 84, passed away Saturday morning, March 2, 2019 at Abbey Senior Health in O’Fallon.  Born June 19, 1934 in St. Louis, he was the son of Arhtur W. and Anna E. Fath Johnson.  Bo worked as a Union Carpenter for 33 years, retiring from Torton Corporation in 1987.  He later worked in golf course maintenance and grounds keeper for Bellerive Country Club.  Bo was a member of Union Local #47 in St. Louis from 1990-2010.  He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO and later Assumption Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Anna Johnson; and four brothers: Bernard, Ronnie, Leonard and Frank Johnson.

Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth Darrish of O’Fallon; other relatives and friends.
           
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Assumption Catholic Church.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home , 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
