Obituary of John Lee Lewis

Funeral Services for John Lee Lewis of Bowling Green, MO will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO.  Abby Hall of Smith Chapel will officiate with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, MO.  Serving as pallbearers will be Christian Lewis, Zack Wheeler, Wesley Hodge, Mark Morton, Patrick O’Brien and Rob Hall.

Mr. Lewis, 56, passed away early Saturday morning, February 16, 2019 at Country View Nursing Home in Bowling Green.  Born September 11, 1962 in Louisiana, MO, he was the son of Benjamin Bradley, Jr. and Louise Hopke Lewis.  John was a former member of the Paynesville Christian Church.  He worked as a laborer at Pike County Sheltered Workshop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin, Jr. and Louise Lewis.
        
Survivors include his brothers: Tommy Lewis and his wife, Debra, of Paynesville, Robert Lewis and his wife, Arlene, of Princeton, MO, and James Lewis and his wife, Karen, of Cape Coral, FL; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
           
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Memorials may be made to Pike County Home Health and Hospice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home , 107 South 5^th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
