Obituary of Yvonne Violet Gregory

Funeral Services for Yvonne Violet Gregory of Winfield, MO will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Rev. Ed Scott, pastor of New Salem Baptist Church near Winfield, will officiate.

           
Mrs. Gregory, 82, passed away Thursday morning, January 3, 2019 at her home near Winfield.  Born December 17, 1936 in Bryson City, NC, she was the daughter of Maurice and Namoni Carson Edwards.  She was united in marriage on August 7, 1959 in Lincoln Park, MI to Lawrence Gregory.  This union was blessed with one son, Jeffery.  Yvonne was a loving homemaker.

           
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Namoni Edwards; and one sister, Louise Willis.

           
Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Larry Gregory of Winfield; and their son, Jefferey T. Gregory and his girlfriend, Anna Mulvenna,of Florissant, MO.  Yvonne also leaves three brothers: John Edwards and his wife, Jerrie, of Bastrop, LA, Earl Edwards and his wife, Cathy, also of Bastrop, and James Edwards and his wife, Reva, of Bryson City, NC; one sister, Joan Shelton and her husband, Robert, also of Bryson City; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

           
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home , 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
