Obituary of Jerry Lee Wyatt, Jr.

A Memorial Gathering for Jerry Lee Wyatt, Jr. of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Wyatt home near Elsberry.


Mr. Wyatt, 76, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 26, 2018 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO.  Born November 26, 1942 in Newport, AR, he was the son of James Fairfield and Dorothy Harlan.  Following high school, he served his country in the United States Army from August 26, 1960 until he was honorably discharged on March 9, 1963.  Jerry retired from Kienstra Concrete Company; and was a member of Teamsters Local #682 in St. Louis, MO.  Jerry was united in marriage on July 8, 1978 in St. Louis, MO to Deborah Faye Sears.  Their home was blessed with five children: Roger, Jr., Brandy, Maria, Jennipher and Jerry Lee III. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.


Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Dorothy and James Fairfield, and two sons: Roger Povich, Jr. and Jerry Lee Wyatt III.


Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Debbie Wyatt of Elsberry; five daughters: Brandy Povich-LaBanca of Elsberry, Maria Kennedy and her husband, Paul, of St. Louis, Jennipher Stark-Adams and her husband, Matt, of St. Peters, MO, and Lisa Williams of Elsberry; and his son-in-law Jeremy LaBanca, of Elsberry.  Jerry also leaves eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom he adored: Harley LaBanca and her fiancé, Eric Parton, Christina LaBanca and her fiancé, Michael Zumwalt, Tanner Stark, T.J. Williams, Braden Stark, Seth Wyatt, Austin Adams and Viviann Kennedy; Owen Parton and Raelynn, Sawyer, Chloe and Serenity Zumwalt; his nephew, Eric Lowe and his wife, Amy, and their children: Emily and Matthew of Elsberry; one sister-in-law Jane Holhut and her husband, Bill, of Reno, NV; his cousins: Gary and Ruby Sirna, Victor and Sabrina Sirna and Joann and Rick Schaaf of Kansas City, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
