Phyllis and I were both crazy cat ladies. I found out we had a lot more in common. Our only regret was we didn't know each earlier in our lives. I hate to think of the trouble we would have gotten into! We laughed and cried together and I will miss her terribly. My love and sympathy to her family. RIP Phyllis.

Phyllis Cox was an exceptionally kind and gracious lady. Growing up in Elsberry I have so many memories of her and the thoughtful, caring, and sometimes direct guidance she would always give. I loved Phyllis like a second mother, and she was a dear friend to my late grandmother Isa Trescott. I often think of the wisdom, faith, and unconditional love they both gave to us. Lessons that most certainly have become a part of who we are today. Craig, my heart goes out to you my friend, my brother. Take solace in knowing your mom is finally back in the loving arms of O.B. and that they are both so very proud of you. God’s Grace be with you and your family, Brad PS. Oh, and she made the best dang meatloaf on the planet.

Craig, I am so sorry for your loss.I always enjoyed seeing your mom all those years at the restaurant and then later on at the Library. Both of my girls always said they loved it when your mom was there to help them check out books. Your mom was a very special lady. May the Lord comfort you during your grieving time.
