Obituary of Mable Ann Harding

Mable A. Harding

            Funeral Services for Mable Ann Harding of Winfield, MO, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.  Rev. Jim Calvin of Winona, MO will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.  Serving as pallbearers will be Frankie Harding, Jr., Amy Myers, Randy Harding, Dexter Harding, Bill Harding, John Harding, Jack Harding, George Harding, Alfred Harding and Sam Harding.

            Mrs. Harding, 82, passed away early Sunday morning, October 7, 2018 at her home in Winfield.  Born November 24, 1935 in Winfield, MO, she was the daughter of Joseph Paul and Nannie Elizabeth Kitson Tayon.  She was united in marriage on December 27, 1952 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Frankie Bell Harding, Sr.  This union was blessed with eleven children; Frankie, Jr., Roger, Amy, Randy, Dexter, Billy, John, Jack, George, Alfred and Sam.  Mable was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her ever growing family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nannie Tayon; one son, Roger Dale Harding Sr., who died May 4, 2005; one granddaughter, Martha Ann Harding on September 1, 2001; and her beloved husband of 58 years, Frankie Harding, Sr. who died August 7, 2011.  She is also preceded by three brothers: John & Florence Tayon, Edward & Rose Tayon and Tommy Tayon; five sisters: Clara Belle & Bill Dixon, Frances & Henry McClay, Beatrice Wilson, Elsie & Russell Cardwell, and Bernice & Verdie Lefholz.

            Survivors include nine sons:  Frankie Harding, Jr., Randy Harding, Dexter Harding and his wife, Julie, Bill Harding and his wife, Jill, and George Harding, all of Winfield, John Harding of Troy, MO, Jack Harding and his wife, Marti, of Louisiana, MO, Alfred Harding and his wife, Pam, and Sam Harding, all of Foley, MO; one daughter, Amy Myers of Winfield; 34 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.  She also leaves several in-laws: Della Tayon, Betty Harding, Rev. Jim Calvin, Doyle & Ann Gordon, Everett Gordon, Walter & Edna Nickelson and Danny & Opal Dyer; many, many nieces and nephews, cousins by the dozens, other relatives and many friends.

            Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes, 3838 East Highway 47; P.O.
