Obituary of William Richard Jones

Funeral Services for William Richard Jones of Winfield, MO will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Rev. Michael Kasevich, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO, will officiate.

           
Mr. Jones, 74, passed away Thursday morning, October 4, 2018 at his home near Winfield.  Born February 22, 1944 in Burbank, CA, he was the son of Monty LeRoy and Marge Waldemer Jones.  Bill was a 1961 graduate of Hazelwood High School; and a 1966 graduate of UMR School of Mines with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Professional Engineer License.  While at UMR, Bill was a member of TAU KAPPA EPSILON.  He was united in marriage on December 31, 1966 in Florissant, MO to Sharon Lea Aubuchon.  This union was blessed with two children: Monty and Kelly.  Bill was a Boy Scout Leader for a number of years.  He was employed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Cameron International, retiring in September of 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Monty and Marge Jones.

Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 52 years, Sharon Jones of Winfield; their children: Monty Jones and his wife, Kimberly, of Florissant, MO and Kelly Mitchell and her husband, Mike, of Ivan, AR; and two grandchildren: Griffin and Delaney Jones.  Bill also leaves two brothers: Donald Jones and his wife, Debbye, of Huntsville, TX and John Jones of Desloge, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home , 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
