Obituary of Samantha Jo Mackey

Visitation for Samantha Jo Raney Mackey of Winfield, MO, formerly of Troy, MO and Elsberry, MO, will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.

Sam, 37, passed away late Sunday afternoon, September 2, 2018 in Winfield.  Born May 29, 1981 in Louisiana, MO, she was the daughter of David and Christina Rose Felty Raney.  She was a 1999 graduate of Elsberry High School.  She was united in marriage on March 27, 2007 in Las Vegas, NV to Adam Christopher Mackey.  Sam worked as a Medical Technician at Troy Manor in Troy.

Sam was preceded in death by her mother, Chris Rice.

Survivors include her husband, Adam Mackey of Elsberry; father, David Raney of Moscow Mills, MO; her brother, Brian Raney of O’Fallon, MO; and her sister, Lindsey Gilpse and her husband, Jason, of Osage Beach, MO.  Sam also leaves her paternal grandmother, Betty Allen of O’Fallon; other relatives and friends.
