Msgr. Gregory Schmidt, church pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church officiated with a burial in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Justin Rottger, Ben Burkemper, Jason Bird, Paul Burkemper, Neal Keeteman and Walter Burkemper. Mrs. Burkemper, 57, died Monday afternoon, June 12, 2006 at St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, MO. Born August 6, 1948 in St. Charles, MO, she was the daughter of the late Glen Shields and Jean Mae Hall Terrell. She was united in marriage on February 2, 1963 in Old Monroe, MO to Glennon A. Burkemper. This union was blessed with four children: Carlotta, Anthony, Glenn and Darrin. She was employed for several years as a night auditor for Econolodge in Wentzville, MO. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was an avid race fan. She was preceded in death by her parents: Glen and Jean Terrell. Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Glennon A. Burkemper of Old Monroe; one daughter, Carlotta Rottger and her husband, Ron, of St. Charles, MO; three sons: Anthony Burkemper and his wife, Lori, of Old Monroe, Glenn C. Burkemper and his wife, Becky, of Old Monroe and Darrin Burkemper and his wife, Robin, of St. Peters, MO; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Germer of St. Peters; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Immaculate Conception Church near Old Monroe, MO.
