Obituary of Sue Ziemer

Funeral Services for Sue Ziemer of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.  Rev. Mark Payne, of Calvary Chapel-Winfield, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.

           
Mrs. Ziemer, 72, passed away Monday afternoon, August 27, 2018 at her home.  Born September 10, 1945 in Ferguson, MO, she was the daughter of Perry John and Loretta Ethyl Knibb Hayden.  Sue graduated from McCluer High School in 1963.   Sue was united in marriage on December 29, 1979 in St. Louis, MO to John R. Ziemer.  Their home was blessed with six children: Lorē, Kent, Marria, Wendy, Gary and Brian.  Sue worked as a Manager of Citi Corp for several years, retiring in 1996.

           
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Loretta Hayden; one son, Brian Ziemer; one grandson, Conner Porter; and three sisters: Roxy Pruett, Helen Rekowski and her husband, Jim, and Mary Kutrip and her husband, Mark.

           
Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 39 years, Johnny Ziemer of Winfield; their children:  Lorē Sczepanski and her husband, Mike, of Valley Park, MO, Kent Boggess of O’Fallon, MO,  Marria Ziemer of Winfield, MO, Wendy Duckett and her husband, John, of Lancaster, PA, and Gary Ziemer of Lancaster, PA; eight grandchildren: Brandi, Breanna, Kelly, Emily, Leland, Wyatt, Sabrina and  Dylan; and three great-grandchildren: Brayden, Brayleigh and Lily.  Sue also leaves one sister, Pat Hayden of St Charles, MO; one brother, Jack Hayden of Winfield, MO; one brother-in-law, Jess Pruett of Florissant, MO; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

           
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.  Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
