Obituary of Wendy Gayle Loness

 

Funeral Services for Wendy Gayle Loness of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann, MO.  Rev. Roger Briggs and Rev. Raymond Doussard will officiate with burial in Mount Lebanon Cemetery in St. Ann.  Serving as pallbearers will be Ashlynn Cook, William Cook, Luke Cammarata, Joe Cammarata, Joe Soehngen, Bob Copeland and Donnie Kinsler.

 

            Mrs. Loness, 67, passed away early Saturday morning, August 11, 2018 at Barnes St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, MO.  Born August 10, 1951 in Jacksonville, IL, she was the daughter of Jim and Helen Bibbons Winner.  Wendy was united in marriage on May 8, 1996 in Silver Dollar City near Branson, MO to Gene Anthony “Gus” Loness.  Working with her husband for many years until his death in 2015, she served as President of H & M Machine Service, Inc. in Maryland Heights, MO.

 

Along with her husband, Wendy was a charter member of Elsberry Lions Club.  She was an active member of the Star Hope Baptist Church near Elsberry. 

 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Helen Winner; one sister, Brenda Miller and her husband, Bill; and her beloved husband of 19 years, Gus Loness, who died October 25, 2015.

 

            Survivors include two daughters: Michelle Cook and her husband, Chris, of Torrington, CT, and Sandra Cammarata and her husband, Scott, of St. Charles, MO; one son, Robert Day, of Elsberry; and six grandchildren: Ryan, Katlyn, Ashlynn and William Cook, and Luke and Joe Cammarata.  She also leaves one brother, Lee Winner and his wife, Joyce, of Hudsonville, MI; four sisters: Nancy Winner and her partner, Patricia Ayers, of Salem, OR, Karen Gordon and her husband, Tim, of Muir, MI, Donna Gordon and her husband, Mark, of Branson West, MO, and Rhonda Grant of Stayton, OR;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

            Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO; and Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:30 a.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann, MO.  Memorials may be made to Star Hope Baptist Church in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
