Carter-Ricks Funeral Homes Phone 573-898-2181 / Fax 573-898-3148 Newspaper Notice of Death Kathryn Belle Briscoe Funeral services for Kathryn Belle Briscoe of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Lincoln County, were held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Winfield, MO officiated with burial in the Old Alexandria Cemetery near Troy, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Douglas Teasley, Dale Teasley, Donnie Teasley, Denny Teasley Christopher Teasley and Bob Vancil. Mrs. Briscoe, 83, died Friday evening, June 2, 2006 at Elder Care of the Valley in Florissant, MO. Born August 3, 1922 in rural Lincoln County, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Vera May Wilson Damron. She was united in marriage on July 15, 1939 in Troy, MO to Lloyd Ephraim "Mike" Briscoe. This union was blessed with three daughters, Ruby, Doris and Linda. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vera May Damron; and one brother, Revis Hugh Damron. Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 years, Lloyd E. "Mike" Briscoe of St. Louis; three daughters: Ruby L. Teasley of St. Louis, Doris Vancil of Union, MO, and Linda Grady and her husband, William, of St. Charles, MO; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great, great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.
