Obituary of Lula Alice Meier

Funeral Services for Lula Alice Meier of Troy, MO, formerly of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winfield will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.  Serving as pallbearers will be Dexter Harding, John Bollinger, John H. Bollinger, Michael McMenamy, Cole McMenamy and Josh Yager.

Lula, 82, passed away late Sunday night, July 1, 2018 at Troy Manor in Troy, MO.  Born November 29, 1935 in Beach Grove, AR, she was the daughter of James Alfred and Jane Turner Moore.  Lula worked as a finisher for Drug Package, retiring on December 1, 2001.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jane Moore; her son-in-law, Martin Carson; and her siblings: Seretha Rodgers, Martha Bost, Maude Sullinger, Thomas Moore, William Moore and Robert Moore.

Survivors include her children: Jerry Meier and his wife, Ginia, of Troy and Ruth Carson of Old Monroe, MO; three grandchildren: Shannon Meier, Allison Meier and Sara Turner; and four great-grandchildren: Chad Meier, Christian Meier, Searra Turner and Serenity Robinson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.  Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home , 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
