Obituary of Pamela Kay Ramirez

Funeral Services for Pamela Kay Davison Ramirez of Winfield, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Chaplain Denise Knox of Troy, MO will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.  Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Preston, Lawrence Preston, Wesley Preston, Todd Dildine, Lonnie Cannon, Clay Wallace and Andy Lorenz.
 

Pam, 62, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 26, 2018 at her home near Winfield.  Born June 3, 1955 in Troy, MO, she was the daughter of Marvin and Emma Leona Shade Preston.  She was united in marriage on July 1, 2000 in Clarksville, MO to Jose’ Allan “Joe” Ramirez, Jr.  She was employed for a number of years as a landscaper for Hillside Gardens Nursery near Foley, MO.
 

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Preston.
 

Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 18 years, Joe Ramirez, Jr. of Winfield; her daughter, Christina Davison Slaughter of St. Ann, MO; two step-sons: Jason Ramirez of St. Ann, and Jose’ Ramirez III of St. Charles, MO; two grandchildren: Jordan Slaughter and Tyler Slaughter; and one great-grandchild, Mason Slaughter.  She also leaves her mother, Emma Leona Butts of Houston, TX; one brother, Larry Preston and his wife, Gloria, of Houston, TX; one sister, Marva Coleman of Houston, TX; three sisters-in-law: Juanita Everts of Phoenix, AZ, Rita Hunter of Foley, and Veronica Ilharreguy of Dublin, CA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 107 S. 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
