Obituary of Renotta Marie Hochstetler

 

Funeral Services for Renotta Hochstetler of Foley, MO, formerly of Elsberry, MO, will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Rev. Steve Olivers, pastor of Troy Holiness Church, will officiate.    
 

Mrs. Hochstetler, 62, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 21, 2018 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO.  Born November 20, 1955 in Kansas City, MO, she was daughter of Joe and Ruth Watkins Carter, Sr.  Renotta was married in Kansas City, MO to Richard Evans, Sr.  She was later united in marriage on September 1, 1990 in Stewart, IA to Clifford Hochstetler.  She was a loving and devoted housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Carter, Sr. and Ruth Soper; one brother, Joe Carter, Jr.; one sister, Florence Meyers; her first husband, Richard Evans, Sr. in 1983; and her second husband, Clifford Hochstetler in 2004.


Survivors include her children: Richard Evans, Jr. of Foley, Lori Evans of Des Moines, IA; seven grandchildren: Devon Hochstetler and his wife, Rachel, Airianna Evans, Domonic Evans, Alex Maas, Chase Maas, Wesley Evans and Jaycee Evans; and one great-grandchild on the way.  Renotta also leaves three sisters: Patricia Conrad of Fort Worth, TX, Cecelia Carter of Kansas City and Alice Carter-Redding, also of Kansas City; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry.  Memorials may be made to Family of Renotta Hochstetler in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home , 107 South 5th Street; Elsberry, MO 63343.
