There are no words that could possibly describe the loss we feel and I know it is trivial compared to those of the family. I have had Joe in my life for all of my almost 75 years. He always was so kind and protective of me thru out my school years and kept contact even during college. His Daughter baby set my boys and then they moved up here and he never failed to tell everyone that he knew me when I was "so high." but that didn't mean he let me beat him at dominos. If the words "Well done good and faithful servant, " could ever be truthfully used it is for Joe. Wallace and I will miss his wonderful smile, squirrel hunting and his uncanny ability to find our sweet corn patch. We love his family and ask God to comfort you and bless you with wonderful memories. Our home and hearts will always be open to you!

Dear Marijo, Chris, Paul, RoseMaria and Michael John--
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I always remember him as being the kindest, most gentle of men, always ready to smile. My dad really liked Joe and would gravitate to him at family dinners and reunions--I think because they were a lot alike.
You all are in my prayers. Over time, may peace overtake the anquish and wonderful memories bring a smile, instead of a tear.
Love,
Rhonda

Dolores & Family, It was so good the times Joe was with you when you visited our mom, Aunt Thelma. It wasn't long, Joe couldn't sit still, he was up helping to fix what was broken, the roof had a leak no one could discover how to make it stop except Joe....the "handyman" he was. That's who he was, a caring, giving and sharing man. Sincerely will miss him. Know that you all will be in my thoughts and prayers at this time. With Love, Cousin Sharon.

Delores and families,
Please accept my sincere sympathy to all the families on Joe's passing. He was a people person. He enjoyed whomever he was around. He enjoyed talking and joking with them. As a carpenter, he roofed my home in the early 2000s with the help of one other. I have a two story house. They did a wonderful job. Joe and this person also put a ceiling fan in the dining room. When I tried to pay them for the fan installation they said no. It was their ministry to assist in our parish. What a wonderful person Joe was. You all were fortunate in being his family. He is now in God's arms. Friend in Perry, Mo Linda Woodhurst.

We are so saddened to learn of Uncle Joe’s passing. I have so many fond memories of him, Aunt Evelyn and my cousins. How lucky we were to live nextdoor for so many years!
