In the early 1970's I worked for Mike after school and on weekends at the Mobil gas station, and sometimes I worked out on the farm. I remember riding out with Joe NIck in that old truck he had. Through the years I have often thought about Mike and the influence he had on my life. When I dropped out of school, he convinced me to go back. When I got involved in taking and dealing drugs and was "busted," he was still there supporting me. Mike, like all of us, was far from perfect, but I represent one life that he certainly touched in a positive way. My condolences to all the family.

I just heard about Mike’s passing. My condolences to all the family. I was a neighbor to Mike and we spent time together through the teenage years. We had some adventures hunting and just hanging out. I know he will be missed.

Mike and my husband Bob were friends for many years and he would have wanted me to offer sincere sympathy to all of Mikes loved ones. Mike was a very special friend,he taught me a lot about running a business. I worked for him at the mobile station and a special friendship was made. I will miss our talks both serious and funny ,he will always be remembered. Will be greatly missed. God bless Barb and family

Dear Uncle Mike, I will miss your mischievous smile and twinkling blue eyes. There are so many wonderful memories and colorful stories to cherish. It's a great comfort knowing that you are reunited with Grandma Dot, Grandpa Joe Nick, Daddy and Uncle Ronnie. As Heaven's new gardener, there will be plenty of vine-ripened tomatoes and strawberries for the Lord to enjoy.
