Obituary of Wanda Lee Crumley

Funeral Services for Wanda Lee Crumley of Winfield, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.  Rev. Michael Kasevich, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ near Old Monroe, MO, will officiate with burial in Whispering Winds Cemetery near Winfield.  Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Spalding, Jacob Penrod, Terry Tulk, Tim Gallion, Steve Massey and Vince Spalding.

Mrs. Crumley, 92, passed away Monday afternoon, October 23, 2017 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO.  Born November 9, 1924 in Hillsboro, IL, she was the daughter of Charles Franklin and Anna Mae Baugher Christy.  Wanda was united in marriage on September 21, 1963 in St. Charles, MO to Darold Anthony Crumley.  She worked as the accounts receivable and billing clerk for Metal Goods.  Wanda was a member of the VFW Post #2866 Auxilliary in St. Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Christy; one daughter, Sharon Patterson; three sisters: Ann Fronckewicz, Mary Massey and Eileen Sachan; and three brothers: Charles Jessie Christy, Harry Herbert Christy and Dale Owen Christy.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 54 years, Darold Crumley of Winfield; one daughter, Karen Spalding and her husband, Vince, of St. Charles; five grandchildren: Dawn Renee Gallion, Andrea King, Heather Tulk, Patrick Spalding and Danielle Thornhill; seven great-grandchildren: Brett Weicht, Jacob Penrod, Michelle Clapham, Lucas Spalding, David Tulk, Liam Tulk and Carmen Brook; and six great, great-grandchildren: Landan Weicht, Alicia Weicht, Owen Penrod, Clare Penrod, Kiri Clapham and Gus Thornhill.  Wanda also leaves many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to VFW Post #2866 in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
