Sorry to see that cancer has taken another. :( I guess my first memory of Mrs. Benny was at Northside BC in Kindergarten, when I was in Sunday School with Wayne. I don’t remember much detail except some dumb stuff Wayne and I did. :) In high school, she became one of my “second moms”, again through church (now New Life and the Cross Keys) and opening up he house to the church high schoolers and playing pool with Wayne, Wade, and Paul, and everybody else. She rocked the Suburban before that was a thing (and Suburbans were much more truck). Mrs. Benny was also an instigator of some mischief that’s still pretty hilarious looking back, mainly being the purchaser and taxi service for TPing and forking people in the youth group’s houses. I’m fortunate to never have been on the receiving end of it. :) Once I started driving, I would go out with Wayne and (more so) Wade to...take care of people ourselves. I remember coming home from work late one night when I was in high school and saw her out forking the Mueller’s house (they lived down the street from me) and not saying a thing. Oops: was that a confession? :) I’m guessing that she’s already forked the front yard of heaven by now? Mrs. Benny also had something in common with my mom in that they spent time living in the Evangeline, although they never crossed paths. One thing I probably appreciate more now than I did then thanks to experience was her being the mother of 3 boys. All close in age to each other. Any mother with only boys deserves a thank you and blessing.

I am so sorry that you lost your special Mom/Granny. But it is so comforting to know she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior and that you will see her again! I know it is hard on the grandkids, too. It was special that you were able to be with her these last few months. The kids will have lots of memories of Granny Sue.
