Obituary of Bernice C. Lindberg

Mrs. Bernice C. Lindberg, 71, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 30, 2017 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis, MO.  Born May 9, 1946 in North Wildwood, NJ, she was the daughter of Otto Frederick and Bernice E. Morton Stocker.  Bernice was united in marriage on October 1, 1966 in Wildwood, NJ to Arthur Wayne Lindberg.  This union was blessed with two children: Tara and Derek.  Bernice was a loving homemaker.  In addition to raising her family, Bernice raised alpacas.  She was a member of the Mayflower Society and the DAR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Bernice Stocker; and siblings: Kay Stocker, Elaine Chase and Morton Stocker.

Survivors include her beloved husband of nearly 51 years, Wayne Lindberg of Old Monroe, MO; their children: Tara Lindberg and Derek Lindberg and his wife, Amy, all of Old Monroe; and four grandchildren: Michael and his wife, Alena, Alex, Hannah and William.  Bernice also leaves two brothers: Jack Stocker of Wildwood Crest, NJ and Kenneth Stocker of Lexington, KY; one sister, Arlieen Franco and her husband, Joe, of Wildwood Crest; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 23 at New Galilee Christian Church near Troy, MO.  Memorials may be made to the Troy Chapter of DAR in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
