Obituary of Robert Edward Pritchett

Robert Edward Pritchett Funeral services for Robert Edward Pritchett of Elsberry, MO were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, MO. Rev. Conrad Cheatham officiated with an entombment in the Elsberry Mausoleum in Elsberry. Serving as pallbearers were Robert Weeks, Jack Burkemper, Dustin Hagemeier, Steven Sanderson, Dale Hahn and Steve Gray. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Pratt, Gene Pritchett, Ralph Leonard, Jr. and Donald Reese. Mr. Pritchett, 80, died early Friday morning, April 14, 2006 at his residence near Elsberry, MO. Born February 2, 1926 in New Hartford, MO, he was the son of the late Leslie Edward and Peggy Bird Gillum Pritchett. He was a 1943 graduate of Elsberry High School. He served his country in the United States Army from February 27, 1945 until being honorably discharged on December 18, 1946. He was united in marriage on July 3, 1948 in Elsberry, MO to Martha Gray. This union was blessed with three children: Malaine, Leon and Linda. He was self-employed for many years as a farmer in Lincoln County. He was a member of the Lincoln County Pork Producers, Lincoln County Wildlife Club, American Legion Post #226 in Elsberry and Lincoln County Democratic Club. He was a member of the Boards of Directors for the Missouri Cattlemen's Association and the Clarence Cannon Memorial Watershed. He was a former Past President and member of the Lincoln County Beef Producers, the Lincoln County Farm Bureau, Lincoln County Farmers Co-op, and the Lincoln County Industrial Development Authority. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Peggy Pritchett; and one brother-in-law, Chester G. Gray. Survivors include his beloved wife of almost 58 years, Martha Pritchett of Elsberry; three children: Malaine Hagemeier of Elsberry, Leon Pritchett and his wife, Jennifer, of Elsberry and Linda Koch and her husband, Craig, of Elsberry; three grandchildren: Dustin Hagemeier, Katie Pritchett and Slade Pritchett; one sister, Hazel Pratt and her husband, Walter, of Elsberry; one sister-in-law, Betty Gray of Elsberry; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation was held was held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry. Memorials may be made to AmHeart Hospice or the Joseph R.
