Obituary of Dennis Deutsch

Funeral Services for Dennis Deutsch of Winfield, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.  Rev. Mike Ryan, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Winfield, will officiate.  Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Deutsch, Jr., Brett Beaver, Daniel Deutsch, Jacob Deutsch, Kevin “Southside” Henson, and CJ Bausch.  Serving as honorary pallbearer will be William Summerton.

Mr. Deutsch, 66, passed away Sunday night, July 9, 2017 at his home.  Born April 29, 1951 in Amarillo, AR, he was the son of Alex and Davora Spiller Deutsch.  Dennis was a graduate of Pattonville High School.  He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968-1974.  Dennis was united in marriage on September 23, 1981 in Clayton, MO to Brenda Ruth Midkiff.  Their home was blessed with thirteen children: Dennis Jr., Brina, Susie, Daniel, Ryan, Haley, Danyel, Jacob, Alex, Annabella, Chase, Shayne and Zachary.  He worked for the State of Missouri as a machine operator.  Dennis loved antiques of all kinds, including cars, attending auctions, exotic animals and eccentric yard art.  Dennis was a foster parent to over 200 children over 20 years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Davora Deutsch; one brother, Thomas York; and one sister, Trisha York.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 35 years, Brenda Deutsch of Winfield; their children: Dennis Deutsch, Jr. and his wife, Tabitha “Tabby”, of Winfield, Brina Deutsch of Winfield, Susie Terry and her husband, Brett, of Tennessee, Daniel Deutsch of Fort Campbell, KY, Ryan Deutsch of Winfield, Haley Deutsch of Winfield, Danyel Deutsch of Moscow Mills, MO, and Jacob Deutsch, Alex Deutsch, Annabella Rodriguez-Deutsch, Chase Robinson-Deutsch, Shayne Deutsch and Zachary Deutsch, all of Winfield; seven grandchildren: Brett Beaver, Paige Deutsch, Charity Deutsch, Serenity Hasten, Micah Deutsch, Bessa Deutsch and Wyatt Terry; and two great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to the Family of Dennis Deutsch in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
