I was flabbergasted when I heard the news that Bill had died. He is just one of those guys you expect to be around forever.
Bill and I attended Clopton and were in the band together. He was sooooo much fun and the nicest person. THAT I'm sure is not news to any of you.
In later years, we would run into each other at Clopton Alumni banquets and on Facebook. It was like we had seen each other yesterday. So easy to talk to and with and always genuinely interested in how I was. He touched a lot of people with his love.
Over time, may peace overtake the anguish and wonderful memories bring a smile instead of a tear.

Lesa, I know there are no words to take away your pain right now. My heart is breaking for you. Adam and Andrew, you are remarkable young men and two of the best sons anyone could ask for. I know your dad loved you with all his heart. Because of the two of you, Lesa and I now have two wonderful daughters-in-law and four amazing grandsons to share. Ali, your dad adored you. It was so obvious on the occasions we were all together. Jeanette, Tim, Joe, Pat, Dave and Dixi, you are all in my thoughts. Bill has been part of some great memories. He will be missed.

I met Bill about 10 years ago, when I got a job as a hairstylist in the town I live in-Troy. I started noticing that living in the same town I work in, I would run into my customers a lot outside of work. In an attempt to network and portray professionalism I made a promise to myself that I would actively remember my customers and say hello to them whenever I saw them in public. My first execution of this promise was Bill! From that day forward I had a loyal customer and friend in him. There are some people you just walk by in public---Bill is not one of those people! He always greeted me with a hug and sincere question about how I was doing. I'm sure he didn't know a stranger! I am deeply saddened by his passing and hope peace can be brought to his family. He was truly a special person.
