Hilton of Winfield, MO, were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield, MO. Rev. Richard Turnbull of Foley, MO officiated with a burial in the Star Hope Cemetery near Elsberry, MO. Serving as pallbearers were Ron Hilton, Robert Cannon, Jr., Kyle Cannon, Gary A. Cannon, Aaron Grigsby and Jim Duey; and honorary pallbearer, Everett Rottger. Mrs. Hilton, 87, died early Tuesday morning, April 11, 2006 at her residence in Winfield. Born April 11, 1919 in Batchtown, IL, she was the daughter of the late Aaron Bryan and Mary Theresa "Mamie" Kress Grigsby. She was a graduate of Hardin High School in Hardin, IL. She was united in marriage in 1936 to Leo Skinner. This union was blessed with two daughters: Mary and Lou. She later married Cliston Leon Hilton on November 3, 1945 in St. Charles, MO. She and her husband owned and operated Hilton's Mobil Station in Foley for several years, retiring in 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Mary "Mamie" Grigsby; one brother, William Grigsby; two sisters: Mildred Kimberly and Rosalie Duey; and her beloved husband of 41 years, Cliston Leon Hilton, who died November 17, 1986. Survivors include two daughters: Mary Schmitt of Foley, MO, and Lou Cannon and her husband, Jack, of Troy, MO; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
