Obituary of Catherine Diane Chier

Memorial Services for Catherine Diane “Crazy Cathy” Chier of Foley, MO will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield, MO.  Fr. Richard Rath, pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Old Monroe, MO, will officiate.

Ms. Chier, 61, passed away Friday morning, May 19, 2017 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO.  Born May 16, 1956 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of John Allen and Adele Marie Buss Finder.  Cathy was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adele Finder; and one brother, Ken Finder.

Survivors include her children: Jeffrey Allen Chier and Jessica Ann Chier of St. Louis, MO; and four grandchildren: Jillian, Kaydence, Kearstin and Bently Niswonger.  Cathy also leaves her siblings: Frieda Spath of Cottleville, MO, Barb Disper and her husband, Steve, of LaGuana Hills, CA, Don J. Finder and his wife, Jane, of Creve Coeur, MO and Caroline Cronin of St. Louis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Memorial Services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Winfield.  Memorials may be made to the Family of Cathy Chier in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O. Box 253, Winfield, MO 63389.
